Rattle snakes
We went to a rattle snake in closure, it was awesome! For an American place it sure had a lot of Aussie stuff that we don't even in Australia.

Arrived in America and to mean customs officers
After a horrid 14 hour flight (with no tvs) we have finally got into LA. Only to have to slug it through customs and board a safe plane (note pic 1). Arriving at customs I walked up with j, j and s to the custom desk only to be told "Get back in line ma'am, family only". I had to wait in line on my own. Finally I was able to go up to the custom desk where Julianna was told to "keep walking" (which she refused to do :). The guy was really passive aggressive and a few times 'casually' adjusted his gun on his belt while I gave my finger prints.
Once we arrived in LA we had to Go through the process again and juliet, Sara, and I were 'randomly selected' to have a machine x-ray through our clothes (lucky us). And Julianna's bag was X-rayed over and over. (in other words a lot of fun)
Anywho, we met a nice girl on the sydney to LA flight who had 100 Nintendo games (no joke :-/) who was fun to talk with (we're soon to be Facebook & Skype friends with). I also had a drink spilt on me within the first hour of the flight, but luckily i had a change of clothes and three different blankets. I then watched most of 'the cat returns' with Juliet and played a good hour of 'nyan cat' on the iPad.
On the plane I had my first (and hopefully my last) drink of canned apple juice. It wasn't exactly sparkling or flat, it just was. It boasted being 100% apples, but I'm pretty sure there must have been some invisible small print I didn't see.
Currently I am on a plane going to Albuquerque. Im separated from the group and have been reading a magazine trying to sell me really random (and often useless) stuff, eg Jewish decorations for the Christmas tree (identity crisis much?)

Killer carry on
I really didn't relies how much crap I "need" to take on the plane with me. I think I'm going to get a back bruise with how much stuff I'm taking :( my bag looks kind of like it's about to split open (I feel a little sorry for it). So far it's carrying:
-my iPod
-my iPhone
-my Nintendo
-a huge pair of head phones
- a blanket
-big warm socks
-a long sleeve shirt
- earplugs
-a pair of long yoga pants
-mini thing so nuttela
-4 packs of gum
-2 chocolate bars
-3 small pairs of head phones
-Nintendo games
-an iPad
- a tooth brush and tooth paste
-face whipes
- a hair brush
- lip balm
- my wallet
-my passport
-a packet or strepsles and panadol
-eyepatches
-photocopy of my birth certificate
-3 pens
-and a neck pillow
I'm really hoping that it's not to heavy for carry on :)

The Evils of Packing
Three days to go until the trip to America and the house goes crazy trying to pack every thing that might be needed. I have come to the conclusion that packing is evil. On Saturday I came to the sad conclusion that trying to find everything that was needed for America was slightly impossible with the messy and disorganized state of my room. This off cause led to the disassembly of my room in order to find all the clothes/objects that I needed. It took about 10 mins to tear everything apart then about 2 hours to put it all back together(neatly).
Then there is the evil know simply as weight limit. You think you packed, ready to go then… BAM you bag is over weight. You now have to go through everything and decide which items are important (everything is important) and which objects can be ditched. So yeah packing is evil.

My neck pillow
I just got the blogger app on my phone. It's not too bad for posting your blog, an its great for editing but I can't figure out how you can see other peoples blogs. Hmmmm I'll have to wok on that... Or bring my laptop.
On a brighter note- look at my beautiful neck pillow. I'm going to be so proud carrying it around the Air port. (BTW it isn't blow up).

The other blog
I Just found last years IT blog; http://georgia-the-blogger.blogspot.com/
Its a truly thrilling blog talking about the important issues of:
- Privacy
- Equity
- Ergonomics
- Control
It even contains a pretend letter writing to a fake company about Privacy policy! I recommend reading this only if you have nothing better to do and are really, really, really bored.
Only 18 days to go~
Just checked my diary and to my shock we only have 18 days until we fly out!
I am no where near ready (insert shrill scream of horror)!
I've already bought some of the travel essentials like
I also realised that I have very few warm clothes. I only have this one really ugly snow jacket (bleh) and jeans, lots and lots of jeans... To WAL*MART!

Our username
So we decided to make our username "Two Dogged Dingos"
But what does it mean?- Two- As in there is 2 of us on this Account (Juliet and Georgia)
- Dogged- which is having or showing tenacity and grim persistence: as in "success requires dogged determination".
- Dingo- a free-roaming wild dog unique to the continent of Australia
Knowing the meanings means it makes a lot more sense :)
